Does anyone know of a website that post jobs directly from the school and not via recruiters.

The job board on here is full of recruiters posting the same jobs each week, some of which don't reply to the emails.

Looking for a job in BUSAN starting asap.

Thank you.

Unless you speak Korean the chances of being successful at that are slim to none.

The prime reason that hagowns use recruiters is that, for the most part, they are incapable of recruitment and interviewing of potential, qualified, overseas candidates.

If they are not replying to your e-mails there could be several reasons:

- wrong time of year for recruitment - while it is true that hagwons recruit year round there are peaks and valleys and since we are nearing the end of the school term...

- the job ads on the boards are pretty generic so they don't update them often - they just repeat them.

- there may be issues with your resume or cover letter. Run a spell checker over it. Grammar and spelling are often major issues - I just toss resumes and cover letters from potential "English Teachers" who can't spell.

- your resume may be too superfluous. The subtle niceties of resume writing are often lost on non-native speakers. Keep it simple and concise.

- Busan is a popular destination - ergo, there are LOTS of potential candidates for them to choose from.
If you are patient you will get something there.
If you are in a hurry (ASAP), widen your net. In a country that is only 250 miles long * 250 miles wide and has one of the best public transportation systems in the world there is nowhere that is really too far from anywhere.
