I want to contribute some information on some classes my 2-year-olds are involved in, as I think they would be suitable for other children who don't have a strong command of Korean.

Most department stores, big box stores, and gu-run gyms/rec centres offer similar classes, and they tend to run for 3-month sessions at a time.

My kids attend two classes at Homeplus:

1. teuni-teuni: it's a theme-based physical activity class. The kids will do things like 'fishing', obstacle courses, dancing and singing, etc. These classes are available for those as young as infants too. The class is all in Korean, but since it is physical-based, language is not a problem. My kids have a blast every week, and can't wait to go back.

2. Twinkle ballet: This class is an English-language class, and serves to build English skills for Korean kids while learning some rudimentary dance skills. All the commands are in English (or French for technical moves), and the CD and workbooks are all in English. My kids really enjoy this class too. Ballet outfits and shoes are not obligatory, but of course, all the kids are decked out in tutus and ballet slippers.

There are other classes too offered for all different ages and at different times; I know they also offer Music classes (I think they learn how to play rhythms, etc), and Yoga/Ballet classes.

To get info, it's best to visit the particular rec centre or store for a session schedule. Although these classes aren't particularly cheap, they are well-designed and engaging.

I hope someone finds this info helpful! Feel free to post any other activities your kids enjoyed.
