I'm due to get a colonoscopy (history of cancer in the family) this year and was wondering how much it would cost with insurance?
Can anyone recommend a place and if so, how much was it?
Thanks. |

I had one at an international clinic down near Jamsil. Crap man, I don't remember the name of the hospital but it was incredibly nice. Procedure with insurance cost just 130,000W at the time (5 years ago?). |

I recommend Joyfull Hospital at Bang Bang Saegori in Gangnam. They have the newest camera equipment and found a 4 mm (small) polyp a previous clinic had missed a few months earlier. I had a coupon which lowered the price, but the polypectomy raised the price back up. They're really great there. I had an appendectomy there too last year and they're just the best. Very nice, very professional, and I personally will never go anywhere else for anything involving my digestive tract.
Regardless of which clinic you choose, choose the sodium picolate laxative. The other stuff is like trying to drink the whole beach. The sodium picolate is like drinking a refreshing, delicious glass of lemonade. It's less explosive and you drink a lot less, but somehow it makes you cleaner than the big jug of laxative.

I just made a post about this last week and went to this place the guy recommended. Had a pretty good experience there. The doctor speaks English but a lot of the other staff do not so there is a guy who they will call around the whole building to translate. I had 2 polyps removed so the price was around 375 000원. (That is including the fact I have Korean health insurance). I would suggest walking around after taking the medicine. I took the medicine and then went to bed. (I think) It delayed my bowel movements, I got to the hospital and had to take the solution again, do my bowel movements at the hospital and delayed my appointment by 2 hours. But man do I feel good after getting them removed. Thanks for the recommendation EZE. |

I'm glad it worked out well for you. I was afraid to go to bed after drinking the solution until I was quite sure I had already crapped it all out. Even then, I slept on the floor just in case. |
