Man, it's hot and I really miss swimming. Does anyone know if there are any pools in Naju? If so, where? Thank you! |

There is a water park behind the mountain. I think the mountain is called Geumseungsan or something. If you live near downtown Naju just walk towards that mountain. |

Naver is a good tool for this kind of stuff.
A search for 나주 수영장 yielded 2 spots in the area. Click here to check it out.
You can see 금성산생태물놀이장 which I believe is the aforementioned water-park. There also appears to be a pool/swimming area at the Naju Central/Main Sports Park 나주종합스포츠파크실내수영장 near the City Hall.

For future reference, do you know about toggling 'Interests' on in Naver maps?
In the map I gave, if you mouse over the little bus icon at the top left of the map, you'll see I've toggled on "스포츠시설 (Sports Facilities)". If you zoom in far enough you'll see markers on the map indicating all the sports, gym, martial arts, yoga, etc.-type facilities in the area. You can toggle various interests if you're looking for medical facilities, restaurants, parking, or whatnot. It's a great tool.
Have fun! |

Thank you both very much.
I'm pretty sure I know the water park you mentioned. I stumbled upon it during a hike one day and it didn't look like it was being used for much anymore. It was in a serious state of disrepair. I will try the pool in the sports center that was recommended. I will also try using Naver in the future.
Thank you! |
