|
|
I went to fire up Skype on my Macbook just now and got told i couldn't log in because my version of Skype was ''too old'' so I grumbled and went to download the new Skype ''for Mac'' and downloaded it and get the exact same message.
Anyone understand what's going on and what I'm doing wrong?
* Do we actually need to download Internet Explorer just to download Skype these days, or is that something else? |

What version of osx are you running? Check that it's up to date... the latest version of Skype (6.6 i think) requires OSX LION or newer.
To make sure it isn't your settings, log out and log back in as 'guest' and try it (you can make a guest account via preferences>users). If it works when logged in as 'guest', it's not a Skype issue... take it to the Apple reseller to go over your settings if you're unsure.
If changing login doesn't help, then it's likely a bug they can sort quickly at most Apple resellers - in the meantime, stick with an older version |
