Anyone knowledgeable about location, price or contacts for "one-rooms" near Yongsan Army Base (between Itaewon and Samgakji Stations).

I'm currently in Busan where prices are really low.

Craigslist 'Seoul' has a section on places to rent. It takes twenty seconds to look it up.

Yup, and after you look at the places on-line and see the rip off prices, or, even worse yet, the bait and switch prices, then get on a train, come up to Seoul, and hit the pavement. You really need to hit at least a handful of the local real estate places to get the lay of the land.

If you're on CL, you MIGHT see some private ads, but most are from over priced real estate places specializing in doing the same thing as everyone else, except in English, too

I can't recommend any of the agents that post on CL. Over the summer I was looking for new places and used them in conjunction with some local Korean agents and the guys on CL pulled some of the worst bait and switch tactics I have ever seen. Especially that nearsubway crap. They don't even have the places that they are posting pictures of.
