I will be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a Luddite. A bit of a technophobe. Not really into all the new communications technology thing. And now I'm paying the price. I need to upload a photo from my LG phone to my desktop computer. I've been trying to do it for 90 minutes without any luck. I've google searched the answer but that doesn't help much. Also the fact that the instructions, after inserting the cord linking my phone to the computer, come up in Korean.
Since noone yet has written An Idiot's guide to Uploading Photos, could some kind soul tell me how to do this? You'd really make my day.
Thanks in advance. |

When I first changed over to my new phone (Samsung, not LG, but maybe what I went through will help) I ran into the same problem. The issue was that my computer didn't have the correct drivers and for whatever reason my phone didn't automatically set up those drivers upon its first linkage. I went on the Internet, found the correct drivers, and after that it was simple. Whether that's your problem or not, I don't know, but it's worth checking out? This purports to be a list of LG Android USB drivers if you want to try, but like I said, I don't use LG phones, so I don't know if they're the right ones for your phone.
Alternatively, you could just use Dropbox, which is what I do with my photos. If you have dropbox installed on your phone and your computer, you should be able to just tell your phone to share the photo with Dropbox, which will automatically upload it to your Dropbox account and then automatically download it to your computer. The benefit of this is that it's all wireless. The downside is having to use Dropbox if you wouldn't otherwise care to.
Hope that was a little help, good luck with a solution. |

Do you have the ability to email from your phone? Just email the photos to yourself, then download. That's how I do it. I have not used the cord method in years. |

It's gonna be a bit of headache if your phone is of older, pre-Android generation. You gotta find a phone-specific client software from LG's tech support website, install it, and only then hook your phone up with your computer.
Unless the firmware of your phone is specifically coded to emulate a typical USB thumbdrive, installing an adequate USB driver and connecting with a proper cable does NOT let you retrieve any data stored in your phone's memory without said client program running. |
