I have a Samsung Smart TV (about 4 years old) and have been using PS Media server with no issues. Lately, however it's been acting up. Sometimes, while watching a TV show (format doesn't matter) it'll either stop and switch to another TV Show that's next in line or it'll stop and say video codec or audio codec not supported. If I try to skip ahead (skip intro music for example) it takes forever to skip ahead not even a minute.. I tried switching to Universal Media Server to no avail. The files play fine on my PC. I tried to use Samsung's Link (formerly all share) but it's not what I want. I don't have/want special folders. I tried WMP but it's not what I want either as you have set up special folders etc. My set up is simply have everything in my downloads folder and play it from there with the PS Media Server. Any thoughts as to what's happening? Is it the software on the tv or the media server ? (it hasn't been updated since last year) or could it be my router? |
