1. What are the hours they give you?
2. What are the actual hours you work?
3. What is your salary?
4. Is housing included? Do they give an option to find your own housing with housing allowance? If so, how much? If housing is included is it a nice place?

'Usurname' (awesome handle~) is absolutely the comic relief needed on these hot summer days! I vote Usurname as a new mod~~

Go through a recruiter and get some offers. 30 hours a week is standard for a hakwon. The 30 hours don't include prep or grading (or writing out reports for parents if you're doing kindy).

You ask WAAAAYYYY too many questions. Get on the FAQ and learn to search. All this info is readily available, and if the other posters' responses are any indication, all the signs point to no support for the lazy.

Whats an hour?

Is it 60 minutes of actual teaching time?
60 minutes on the premises of your school?
One lesson (ie anything from 35 to 50 minutes of class time)?

Everyone has a different opinion of what an "hour" is.

1.) They give me the first and second hour.
2.) I don't actually work the hours.
3.) My salary is negligible.
4.) No, Yes, a lot, no.

An 'hour' will depend on where you work, but at a lot of adult oriented hakwons, 30 hours a week translates into 6 50 minute classes a day. How much time you have 'off' between classes depends on your schedule.

Maybe someone else will chime in about public school jobs or, better yet, people could USE THE FAQs AND SEARCH FUNCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
