Hello.

I went though the E2 visa process a couple of years ago with the following documents.

1*Apostilled degree
1*Apostilled criminal record check (Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland)

However, once I arrived, I was asked for another criminal record check. Once I had it ready, my boss informed me that I didn't need it after all.

So my question is - do I need a second apostilled criminal record check? If so, can I simply get a photocopy signed by my solicitor/notary and have that apostilled?

As far as I know you only need one CBC, but I do remember when I first got here, my boss making me fill out some paperwork for a Korean police check. It could be your old boss simply got confused about what was required, or something may have been lost in translation.
