I'm an American citizen with an F-4 Korean visa. I'm currently in another country, but I am looking to return to Korea in September.
About one year ago, before I left Korea, I renewed online through the website. I paid online, I called immigration. They said everything was fine and the guy I talked to on the phone said I didn't need to get my ARC stamped - that they would do it the next time I came through immigration.
However, my current situation is that I'm trying to apply to jobs and I want to make sure that my visa status is 100% okay before I sign a contract and step on a plane. Does anyone know anyway to do this? |

The stamp indicating your extension doesn't mean that much. Your extension is already registered in the official system.
I would recommend calling a person at the immigration office to confirm the status of your visa. If that person's word still makes you nervous, you can always try to "extend" your visa online again. If you recall, when you extend your visa online, you'll see your current expiration date, so when you go to extend online, you should be able to see the most current date. |
