I had a couple interviews with some private schools this past Wednesday. After the interview they said I would hear back sometime this week. Is this a normal process or do they normally offer on the spot, which suggests that my interview went poor?

Also, how long does it usually take for recruiters to find you a position? I should note that I've limited my location to Seoul. I haven't heard from some recruiters in over a week!

Much Thanks

They usually have multiple interviews set up, it would seem strange to offer you the position on the spot unless you were the last scheduled interview.

Thanks for the response.

Do schools or the recruiter usually provide a courtesy email if the position is not obtained?

It's very rare to contact you to give you the bad news. No.

I don't think it's rare to get notified that you were not offered the job. But it's also not rare to get blown off, even if you send an e-mail asking about the results. It's obviously very disrespectful and unprofessional for a school to not respond after you went through the trouble of an interview.

They told me the same thing, and a few days later I got the offer. I think it's standard.
