I had sex with my boss and she is married but separated from spouse. I also only have two weeks left in my contract so it's a goodbye present

| I slept with my hagwon boss three months into my first hagwon gig. She was ten years older than me and unmarried (as far as I know). Totally nuts though. |

I am pretty sure adultery is still illegal in Korea and can result in serious payouts to the wronged party.

In practice, though, the penal code applies only if there exists irrefutable hard evidence, not circumstantial.
Criminal charges are, if established, separate from civil litigation concerning adultery. |

Thanks, but I am guessing most people just make a settlement to avoid jail right? |

Just like back home, still in the books in many jurisdictions, but rarely enforced. The police don't go looking for it, and only act if a formal compliant is filed. And even then, they encourage the parties to settle it between themselves. The cops have better things to do, like ignore murders and stuff.
Was a case a few years ago between two celebrities, and only came out because the husband went to the police. Also, brought out some debate of whether to get rid of the law, or not. |
