FOUR DAY "Booze Orgy" Edition

What: Biannual Deokjeokdo Camping Trip (May and September)

Where: Seopori Beach, Deokjeok Island

When: September 6-9, 2014 (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue)

Price: Free This is a DIY affair

How: 60min. ferry from Domestic Ferry Terminal in Yeonam Budu(Incheon Port), bus to beach 10min

Ferry Info: (032)887-2891~5

Abodes: There is camping on the beach or motels, I recommend camping.

Food: There are restaurants and supermarkets, again I recommend
bring your own food in a cooler and cooking on the beach.

To Do: Swimming, disk golf, camp fires, camp songs, camp sex

Notes: The ferry is usually really full this time of year so I would
reserve tickets now.

This Year:

1/ As always, Master of the Universe "Cups" tourney. (beer-in-hand-rule-applies)

2/ The never ending "last hole leader chooses next hole" disk golf
tourney. (beer-in-hand-rule-applies)

3/ The Century Club. 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes.

4/ The usual campfire.

Please don't give us foriegners, specifically English teachers, a bad name by acting like drunken d bags. If you're going to drink, be quiet about it.

It also sounds just like something to validate the negative stereotypes of EFL teachers.

Nothing wrong with the spirit. Everyone needs to blow off steam sometimes. However, this isn't Thailand or the Philippines, and the locals aren't going to be so tolerant if it gets out of hand.
Have fun, but don't act like complete dickheads. Only Koreans are allowed to do that here.

I think the Dokjeok locals are kinda used to it by now. It is the Ibiza of korea after all.

-just don't do it on any other island.

Yeah, this used to be something like ten foreigners having a campfire and singing a tune or two with a guitar and a few beers. Now this horde moves in and wrecks the place twice a year. The local supers have raised the price of everything quadruple-fold as well. At least clean up the beach afterwards this year you degenerates. Laughing

OP is like 50 years old and posting this same thing for as long as I can remember, making it look like some kind of an official event.

Why putting this up here year after year? He doesn’t want to drink alone so he recruits some fresh college grad. drinking buddies? Shocked

Btw: He also has a Korean wife and a child. So he is either getting shitfaced alone for days while his wife and child joins the rest of the family to spend together the biggest Holiday OR they go all together and he is getting shitfaced in-front-of his child.

How does someone married to a Korean get out of Chuseok family responsibilities to go get shitfaced on a beach for a week?

Isn't it traditional for the wife to spend time with their husband's family?

I thought one of the benefits of getting hitched with a foreigner for Korean women was the lack of a crazy demanding mother in law and exemption from the nightmare that is Chuseok.
