You would have thought severe obesity would be more unhealthy than Beijing air.

You'd be wrong though.

Two studies. One showed that severe obesity shortened life by 14 years.

http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20140708/severe-obesity-cuts-up-to-14-years-off-life-study

Another showed that air pollution in Beijing takes away 15 years of life.

Pretty shocking to think to severe obesity is actually less unhealthy than Beijing air Shocked

Very few people can be on Beijing Air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365.25 days a year. If someone is morbidly obese, they do not get time off. A person stuck in the center seat of the center aisle has as much or more mobility than an obese person.

I'd rather do 2 consecutive tours in "Nam than be that fat ... but that's just me.

Is this a joke, or do you think Beijing Air is an airline? I'm pretty sure people who live in Beijing are "on" Beijing air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and, barring vacations, 365.25 days a year.

Imagine being obese living in Beijing. Dead in an instant!

well Air purifiers would help the 10-16 hours if your home indoors but still poor Air quality has been proven to cause a variety of health problems

also, being obese someone could exercise but clean air is something you can get to in an hour or two train ride from

like in other major cities like LA, a drive to any part of the ocean provides easier breathing

yes Beijing is totally different since the pollutions being released are different but its about sacrifice i.e. poverty - basic needs - overall health is probably what one should consider...imo
