|
|
Hello,
I have a B.A. degree, CELTA, and over 5 years' experience teaching ESL in the U.S. and Latin America.
I have read through many of the FAQs and stickies, and saw that many are from 2003 and 2004.
It is my impression that to begin with Korea, one should go through a recruiter (correct me if wrong). I am thinking of looking for a public school gig, as I have experience working in public schools in the U.S.
What are some reputable recruiters? At this time, Footprints seems to be a large one. I am just looking for real life experiences from people who have used various recruiters.
Thanks,

Keep your options open for Hagwon jobs too.
There may well be a blood bath of EPIK cuts coming...... |

You should use ANY AND EVERY recruiter you can find until you get the job you want, where you want. And don't feel obligated to tell them that you're using more than one, just do it. |

Try and apply directly to the schools that post an opening.
Most recruiters are shite.
Simply turning down one of the many horrid contracts they try to pass of can land you on the recruiting blacklist...enter the KFTRA.
With your experience and CELTA, you can do much better. |
