Can someone direct me to the happening foreign establishments in Daegu? Locations? I lived in Gyeonggi-do during my time in Korea, but my current company is located in Daegu (perhaps unfortunately), and I'd like to find a local watering hole for when I'm in town. Much appreciated. |

Theres a bunch. Daegu is quite the party town. I love Daegu.
They had a one cover charge for alot of the clubs once a month, it was like 15000w.
I think Daegu is a lot of fun, more than Hongdae or Itaewon.
Dont worry, have fun. |

Hi.
If you mean the type of foreigner place where engineers etc. can sit at the bar and chat to English speaking bar staff, I dont think there are such places. There used to be one out at Daegu university but Im not sure its still there.
The problem with Daegu is, its a mix of army and esl'ers mostly. People like that tend to stick to their clicks - as opposed to contractors who rotate more frequently and so gravitate toward 'foreigner bars'.
If I were you, Id get on one of the many daegu fb pages, and get involved with a group. Once you meet people, it'll be easier to get introduced around to bars and such like. |

I've never been to the Daegu location, but there's a Travelers in Daegu. The one in Bundang is a nice foreign bar with some good burgers.
