I wasn't aware until now that I realized he had done the lyrics for Seasons In The Sun. Makes sense, I guess.
It would be redemptive to say that he his work takes on more artistic integrity if considered as lyrics, not poetry. But, even by the standards of sappy sentimental love songs, Seasons In The Sun was pretty maudlin.
I suppose you can't put up much of an argument against Jean, as far as it goes. I sang that in high-school choir. |
