Hey there. I'm moving over soon and I'll be working for IBT Junior English Academy in Gwanggyo, Suwon. What are the thoughts on this place? I've spoken with teachers from the school and they've said great things about it, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts. Thanks!

So you spoke to the teachers from the school. It sounds really good, and probably is, but were they doing it on "company time" in the bosses' office? Did they say it was absolutely fantastic? If they are absolutely too positive there might just be something wrong. But I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm too much.
In my first job in China, I got a review from a western teacher, who gave a LOT of detail. I was about to go to Henan Province, and there were SOME negative aspects, but it felt like an acceptable job. I went and I enjoyed it.

Before coming to Korea for the first time, I asked for and did not geta review from the teacher they had just fired. I went anyway. I enjoyed the social life but it was a cheap, dodgy little hagwon, and I was fired eventually.

I think you are onto a good thing. But, here's something. What hours will you be working? I met a man who had to teach 9-7, 5 days a week, and work during the lunch hour too. It got too much. He did a midnight run. But if your contract is more reasonable than that, then you should be all right.
