Quote:
A gunman shot and killed a soldier at a war memorial in Ottawa, then ran into the parliament building where he exchanged gunfire with police.

One gunman has also been killed, but parts of Canada's capital remain on lockdown as police hunt for suspects.

Post your updates here please.

My thoughts and prayers are with the citizens of Ottawa.

I hate people that think it's okay to take photos like this...

...and papers that publish them. Do his family really want to see a photo of him lying on the floor dying?

Yet here you are publicizing it to an even wider audience. Well done.

Are you bipolar by any chance? In one post you describe your distaste for someone publishing an image of the attack on him but in an other you use his murder as a springboard for a juvenile troll attempt. Pathetic.

Why are you publishing it, then?

This Lucas guy is the embodiment of the numerous teachers our company has let go over the decade I have been in Japan. The self centered, self absorbed, self important type who grew up safely spouting his/her asinine beliefs behind the safety of his/her keyboard.

He now finds himself in Asia hoping to find a boss/environment that won't call him out on his childish, pathetic ways because every boss or colleague in North America over the age of 30 has fired him, kicked his ass, or shunned him.

I'm dead serious. It is almost the sole reason why we have fired every single teacher we've ever had. Some young idiot who still thinks he/she is anonymously behind their keyboard every time they open their trap. Having not the slightest social etiquette and believing everything that comes out of their mouth is some pearl of wisdom.

Seriously. That remark about Canada coming on the heels of what happened in Ottawa was pathetic. The fact that he would never make it in the company of a real live human being makes it all the more sad.

Yeah, I know he will get some perverse pleasure from my rant but oh well. I just hope his resume comes across my desk one day Smile

KimchiNinja - I got the rich irony of that!

It was a delicious gravy to my sorely parched throat.

Well most of you are capable of holding it together for at least a couple of interviews. Congratulations. You can also pat yourself on the back for being the reason we no longer hire anyone under the age of 30.

On a side note. Anyone over the age of 30 or 40 wondering if they have a shot at landing a job in Asia should look for a western boss/manager. Not being raised in the era of facebook, instagram, twitter, chat rooms or selfies automatically has your resume put at the top of the pile. Believe it.
