|
|
Hi all!
So, I'm about to wrap things up in Seoul and head south to Kwangju (WOOHOOO!) and I need some help.
I have enough stuff that I can't just pack up some suitcases and jump on the train, but not so much that I can justify spending a lot of money to move. I had a local moving company come by yesterday and they quoted me at 400,000 won. Keeping in mind that I really don't have any large furniture (just a small bookshelf and an electric piano), that seems steep. I've thought about renting a truck, but with the rain I don't just want an open flatbed... I'd like a covered truck. Are those available?
So... anyone have a suggestion? |

I had a covered truck when I moved a couple of hours away. The cost with moving companies is that they do all your packing for you- think about how beneficial that could be too. |

Yeah, I've been thinking about that too... I hate packing. I'm a perfectionist so it takes me five times as long as it should!
In the interest of cost comparison, though, how much did the truck cost you? |

Often moving companies are "full service." That means you don't even need to pack or unplug your computer. The last time I moved, they did everything. This may be why they quoted you 400,000. |
