I purchased an unlocked Sony Xperia Z3 compact off of Gmarket. What is the cheapest way to get a number and data plan? I really won't need to call or text anybody that often since as long as I have kakao talk I am covered. The problem is I can't log into my Kakao talk on my phone without a number. I went to one of those dealers that sells contracts from all 3 carriers and the cheapest thing I could find was month by month 34,000원/month for 160 min/160 text and 750mb data, or if I sign the contract for 2 years the plan would be only be 26,210/month. Is there any sort of pay as you go thing that can be done? What do people do if they are only in the country for 2-3 months? Do they have prepaid sim cards at the airport? |

Pay as you go. I put down 35,000 for six months (and have used something like 3,000 of that in 4; who actually talks on their phone anymore?) and pay 11,000/month for a gig of data. |

With a 30,000 reload at KT you also get 100 free minutes to any KT number.
Just go to a KT shop or you can also get a SIM card from the internet. |
