Visa issuance number is in. So its off to Osaka. Smile

Booking flight is a pain, so just wondering what the latest turnaround times. Ive seen everything from next day to 5 days.

Possibly best bet is to keep things open, but employer is paying for ticket and looking for cheapest ticket naturally. Hoping to maybe ninja out there this weekend. But worried taking a risk on ticket might lead to a loss of cash here. Smile

PS. Would rather go osaka because i have friends there. Fukuoka is nice, sorta, but love me some okonomiyaki! Smile

Guess you will fly into Kansai airport.
For okonomiyaki the Hiroshima kind has cabbage.
In Sakai, you can get steak okonomiyaki.
Sakai is in the south of Osaka fu.

I would drink in Umeda if I could. Redevelopment has made it look quite good.

Dear British people,

Did you see the number 6000yen mentioned for the cost of your visa in almost every page you looked at whilst researching your visa run?

This number is for the rest of the planet. You get to pay the VIP sum of 22,000 yen. Bring lots of money Smile

One more important detail for the fact fans... when they say 2.30-4 they have all the passports ready. So if youre there at 2.30 you leave at 2.31. They have them prepared and in a batch ready to go. If your passport isnt in that batch, then i assume you wont be getting it until the day after.

I mention this because i personally dithered about flight times and took a far later flight than i needed, 'just in case it wasnt ready until 4 on the dot'. That 2.30 to 4 is expressly the pick up time. They all appear good to go at 2.29. Hope this helps someone.
