If I pass the Intermediate level language test (Level 4 [4 단계]) in the Social Integration Program (사회통합프로그램) is it possible to use this for the language ability based points, even if I haven't finished level 5 yet? How many points would it give me? If I have enough points after passing level 4, can I apply for an F-2 based on the points first, then complete level 5 and later on (after a few years perhaps(?)) apply for an F-5? |

Looking at the point break down on the web shows language proficiency and the social integration course as separate. I think the language points are based on the TOPIK test. If you can pass the highest you'll get 15 points and intermediate is 10 I think. Then you get like 20 points for passing the course. Most people take the course because you get both the language and course points. |

Step one: bow to ajossis
Step two: drink excessively
Step three: answer every question with "uhhhh"
Step four: take out a huge loan for a tiny apt
Step five: look down on other cultures
Congratulations you're now Korean! |

The test is worth 15 points (not 16 like stated in the online PDF, 16 is only for TOPIK Level 4), and then completion of Level 5 will get you an additional 10 points. |
