I want to get an ipad
(already have an iphone on an SKT dataplan)
But I'm being told by the local SK shop that I cannot....
Is there a workaround?
Can i just go ahead and buy the ipad and use "personal hotspot" on the iphone to tether the two devices when using the ipad online? |

Yeah, one phone number per person, for foreigners. They have different rules based on visa type. I had a D-8 visa before and that always caused a lot of confusion about what kind of contract they could give me. It wasn't on their list.
Your workaround works fine. I've never had any problems using the iPhone's hotspot on a laptop or iPad. They might only sell you a wifi-only iPad, though. |
