Quote:
On November 20, Cameron responded to the negative reviews by posting on his Facebook page.[9] He wrote, "Help me storm the gates of Rotten Tomatoes. All of you who love Saving Christmas – go rate it at Rotten Tomatoes right now and send the message to all the critics that WE decide what movies we want our families see."[10] The attempt resulted in a severe backlash in which Internet users traveled to the Rotten Tomatoes page and condemned the film.[11]

How do you prove a horse is an animal? Because I like Sweden. That's the style of absurd logic that happens in "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas"

Quote:
Perhaps the only Christmas movie I can think of, especially of the religious-themed variety, that seems to flat-out endorse materialism, greed and outright gluttony.

More like "Explaining Christmas" and not in a particularly entertaining or well-made way.

LOL. That guy is a total clown. It's impossible to listen to him speak. He always comes across like a mildly-retarded thirteen year old. And that stupid grin he always has on his face.

So sorry to hear his little bit of faith-based propaganda was a flop.

Christian movies in the mainstream is a relatively new thing, probably due to the Passion of the Christ. While 2014 has been a succesful year for these Christian based movies, there have been failures outside of movies dealing with biblical history. These movies, like this one, try to make Hollywood-like movies dealing with people in modern society with a 'message'. They haven't figured out how to do it yet, but once they get they get through the growing pains, I'm sure Hollywood will be calling.

See. That is the difference between funny and genius funny.
Taking the time to set up the details....then...bam!
I heard Lenny Bruce was like that. Humor delayer.

I wonder if this technique has residual effects in life.
Specifically...do you apply this technique to sex, too?
The masses want to know.

You gotta have some sympathy for Kirk. You gotta remember that he is totally controlled by his wife. And there was no growing pain because he didn't grow up. Laughing

Well, I tried it during sex, but my girlfriend couldn't stand my telling jokes of any kind at that moment. So, now I just talk about baseball.

That reminds me of the joke about when a guy is about to reach the point of no return before he wants to so he starts thinking about baseball in an attempt to prolong that eventuality as long as possible. I guess talking about baseball could achieve the same results, but I could see how it may diminish the romantic aspect for your girlfriend.

She likes baseball because it does prolong the act. She even got up early to watch the World Series with me this year. The NFL playoffs are coming soon (no pun intended) so I will change the subject matter.

How did Mike Seaver become such religious zealot? Funny, this reminds me of the 1980s and when I was in high school and how big these guys were, like Michael J. Fox, and Mike Seaver.

25 years later, I don't even them at all. Michale J. Fox not for his personality but more for his medical condition, I guess.

I didn't know Kirk Cameron is related to Pavel Bure through his brother-in-law Valeri Bure.

And his sister also starred in a big 1980s sitcom, Full House, as D.J. Tanner.

Seriously, I put all of this together finally about 2 minutes ago after doing a Google search.

I was in high school in the 80s too. Mike Seaver and Alex P. Keaton were huge back then. I remember ditching homework to watch these shows. Although I preferred watching Family Ties. I watched a show recently for the first time in ages, and it made me laugh.
