I am a Korean American female currently living in Seoul looking for work. I have a FBI criminal background check that is still valid. I got it while I was still in the States. However, it will expire in a month or so, and I do not want to go all the way back to the States to get another background check. I was curious if there is a way to get it while staying in Seoul.
I currently have an F4 visa but need to get a new background check in case schools ask for it.
Does anyone know a way to get a new FBI criminal background check without having to go back to the States?
I hear theres a way to mail it overseas but I am worried it will take too long as maling internationally takes awhile. If anyone knows anything please let me know. |

Print out the standard fingerprint form on the FBI website and then take it to a police station here to get fingerprinted. After that, you can mail your prints to the FBI. However, I don't think the FBI will be willing to send your results to an international address. |

I sent my fingerprints and application to the FBI in early October. I just got off the phone with them and I am still not in their database, and they are opening mail from Oct. 16 right now. Very long wait. |
