I keep seeing that CBCs are good for six months/180 days. I'm cutting it close on the expiration date of my CBC. It will be turned in before the end of six calendar months, but will be after 180 days. Will this be an issue?

6 calendar months from date of issue. If it lands on the desk at immigration and it is 6 months + 1 day then you get to start all over again.

Thanks so much! It'll be turned in on January 12, and was issued July 14. Sounds like I have no need to worry!

Better hope your school doesn't dawdle when submitting it.

I know. But I think it'll be fine. I stressed the importance of it being turned in. If I wait for my backup copy to arrive, I may miss the start date of the job. I don't think they want that to happen, either.

No problem. They'll either ask you to work illegally for a while or simply hire someone else.
