i'm just starting my second year in korea. i've been teaching at a company for two months. the pay is 2 million for 40 hours a months(teaching ours 7-9pm).
i am looking for another job. i've got some offers, but most of the schedules that i could teach were at kiddie hagwons. i'm not sure if i a) want to teach 10 hours a day, and b) not sure if i want to trust another hagwon owner.
currently, i am on a 90 day tourist visa, so eventually i will need sponsorship (the company i work for tried to sponsor me for a non e-2 visa, but immigration would have none of that). the problem is that i feel like i have a great job now, and would be taking a chance of signing up with a school, that would down the road try to screw me over.
is there anyone out there who has been in a similar position, and how did you handle it? thanks |
