When I first came to Korea back in 2000, I heard about guys driving around Seoul in cars, yelling out to Korean girls 'Ya ta!' and many Korean girls seemed willing to hop in if the car was nice enough.
Here it is, 15 years later, and it seems little has changed...

you seem to be stuck on this notion that the world isn't generally the same in most countries and that korea is much worse than other countries... (hint: it's not. travel the world with an open mind and you'll quickly learn that people are generally the same just with different twists)

also, i have to ask, if you hate it here so much why in the world do you stay? silly don't you think?

for some fun (and examples of american girls doing exactly what you posted on your link) check out these amusing videos.

Yes, a sample size of 8, in 4, different cities, done once. No information if the same kind of car was used, or the guy driving, type of area, clothes, etc... Really scientific.

It wasn't everywhere and all over Seoul. It was just in certain specific places. At least that's the way I heard it from my students in 1995.

I guess this means the guy who was thinking of bringing his Corvette over knew a lot more than those responding to him gave him credit for.

Ah yes, that old ajosshi charm.

Shouting combined with a willingness to spend. A complete demonstration of the skills required in this society.
