I'm thinking of working in Busan, South Korea, beginning next November or December and was wondering if anyone had experience working in the private schools there and with recruiters for schools in Busan. I am hoping to get a four or five month contract (one of the reasons why I want to work in the private school system) and was wondering if anyone had experiences with a shorter contract? Thanks! |

I hope you are already in Korea, otherwise no school is going to hire you for such a short term. |

Yup, for that length contract you need to already be in Korea. Even then it will still be very hard to get. |

Just sign a regular contract then quit after 5 months. |

I've been following this thread and was wondering if anyone could comment on Busan specifically a bit more. I'm currently considering Busan as well for a regular year long contract. I prefer living in coastal cities. I'm living in Michigan right now after spending most of my life on the east coast and being land locked has me feeling claustrophobic. I also really wanted to live in Gyeongju as I'm really interested in Silla period type stuff but the opportunities there seem slim, so Busan was a big, looked to be interesting coastal city close enough to Gyeongju to be able to see it a few times while I'm there. I've searched out threads on Busan and found a few things, but some of the posts are rather old. Anyone living in Busan that could comment on life there? |
