Transferring from E-7 to E-2 CRC needed?

I am on an E-7 visa now and have been for over a year. When this contract is done I will transfer to a D-10 and look for another position. If I find and take a position with an E-2 visa, will I have to submit a CRC when going from a E-7 to D-10 to E-2 ? I ask because I never had to submit a CRC to get the E-7 in the first place.

Thanks

Possibly, unless your E7 was working as a teacher in an international school.

If your E7 was unrelated to teaching then probably yes (E2 and MOE requirement).

Yes, my E-7 is for teaching at an International High School.
Soooo, if I read you correctly, then if I change to a D-10 and then an E-2 I probably won't need a CRC?

It's just such a pain because they are only good for 6 months which is one hiring season for universities. So quite a few time I have got my CRC, didn't find a job (or got an E-7 job), threw the CRC away. Later got another CRC, didn't find a uni job (enrolled to study Korean), threw away the CRC... I've probably wasted 4 or 5 CRC's that way.

Thanks

If there was one on file when you switched to to the E7 and you have been teaching since that time AND you have not been out of the country for more than 90 days... then probably not.

Hmmmm.. Actually this E-7 was a fresh start on a new visa, it wasn't a change over from an E-2. I had an E-2 about 8 years ago, though that's certainly a non-factor by now.
So there was no pre-existing CRC for my current E-7, (unless that one on file 8 years ago helped ).

Maybe this is all a bit irrelevant now though if the Immi is taking CRC channelers now, so there is no reason for me to start my CRC 3 months before maybe thinking about possibly applying for a uni position (and then throwing it away again when rejected. If they really take chanellers material now (as seems to be the case) then I could wait for a successful interview to do a rush CRC.
