I have F4 visa, I from the states, and I have citizenship there.
The only problem is I got my college degree from Korea, because I had a different mindset about getting into the Korean culture and language, since I'm going to get my job here, and live here forever.
I was thinking about getting non teaching jobs, but I can't really find those, especially middle sized companies. I don't know any websites that would be helpful, where they recruit foreigners for non teaching middle sized companies. I'm not sure who I should ask to find this information.
Also, people say I can't teach English at public school, but will bosses recruit me in private academies as a native English teacher? Can i recruit into academies like business english, or something like that, since I can speak certain Korean as well? I also got the TOPIK score.
Pretty much, i'm looking for any employment opportunities in Korea, rather it be a recruiter itself as a full time job, or a teacher. Or a employee at a middle sized company in Korea, or teacher at an English academy.
Tips and information would help. Experience and stories would help also.
Thanks! |

From a public school perspective, while I imagine you couldn't work as a native-speaking teacher, it's hypothetically possible that you could be hired as 영어회화전문강사 (which, at least in my province, pays I think 2.7 million a month, and you can sometimes receive housing as well) or a 영어방과후강사 (which would probably pay hourly and come without benefits)? You could also definitely work in a 학원, it's just a matter of finding an owner who would hire you. I don't know how easy that would be, or what kind of wages you'd command. |

No (legal) problem getting work at a hagwon. You are no different than any other Korean employee working in one.
The problem lies in the simple fact that they may want to treat you and pay you like a Korean employee (little and late).
