Yeah, I was shocked to hear about that sort of thing(about the pervs, not the task force) way back in 2008, happening in the neighborhood around the girls middle school where I worked. And this was not even Seoul, but in a small town in Jeollabukdo.

Why these people have not already been caught and put on sex offender lists is beyond me.

People get away with bloody murder around here.

That's right - I had completely forgotten that term, but there was even a thread about it in 2008.

I'm confused...
you ask most koreans and they will tell you that...that type of behavior does not go in korea by koreans...no sex women, no red light districts, no adultery,
no prostitution, no gays, they have firm family values and firm upbringing...

You must talk to different Koreans than I do.


Those comments sound like they come from a guy who spoke to some Koreans about 15 or 20 years ago.

Much has changed since then.

Yeah. The average Korean that I meet these days actually seems if not well, at least somewhat informed of their country's vices. I've even encountered a few pessimists who would fit right in around here.
