Is this a cultural thing? I have two seven-year-old boys whose wrists are disappearing under more than baby fat, but my Korean assistant teacher keeps giving them more rice whenever it looks like their tray is in danger of getting empty. The children get plenty enough food for health and energy: why would she want to keep them getting fatter?
Last year I had a girl student who was sometimes subtly ostracized because her enormous bulk was unsightly to the other girls in the class. Her mother even asked the kindergarten assistant to give her less food and fewer snacks, but she kept on trying to give her more. |

You know those super obese peeps in the US and other countries?
I've seen a few documentaries - and their daily food intake is not unlike that of a cow (only with plenty of proteins and such). This food is usually given to them by their parents/relatives. I'm not sure who has a bigger problem - the person who keeps eating to become so obese, or the person who keeps feeding them. Essentially, it takes 2 people with major mental conditions to get to the super-obese stage (considering that super-obese people at some point stop being able to move on their own).
Perhaps your Korean assistant teacher has that sort of condition. |

Well, the shoe is on the other foot. No longer are westerners poked and prodded and told they are very fat. My how times have changed over the last decade or so. Lol. |

Hey, she's a professional competitive eater. She's not an average person, let alone an average Korean.
Anyway, I think the girl is suffering from leptin deficiency. Robert Lustig talked about that in his talks about how sugar is killing us. She needs to go to hospital ASAP. |

If they keep feeding him like a pig for market, then I will start making him climb stairs during his breaktime. A big appetite can make for a very strong man if the food goes toward muscles instead of sitting on his fat ass. Better an ox than a pig. |

You may get charged for child-abuse if you do that. If the child doesn't know that you mean well, and his parents doesn't know that you mean well, then you just end up looking like a bully. Be careful. |
