Attention U.S. passport holders. The State Dept. from Jan. 1, 2016, will stop adding pages to passports. All passports issued after that date will have the full 52 pages but no more can be added. So for frequent travelers, be prepared to change passports every time you run out of pages.

They will stuff extra pages in when you renew, if you select that option ... |

If they're putting 52 pages in, then it's kind of a moot point. Did they add pages beyond the 52 before? |

Just thinking of saving money. Like before when they used to help with the IRS.
Anything that can get cut, will. |

And how much are you paying in taxes to support those services?
I'm all for the government saving money where it can. With things like the IRS, that's all online now so why should they keep doing it? |

The new U.S. passports are already thicker than the old ones (more pages). If you have a lot of time left on your old passport better thicken it up with pages. |

The website is not enough.
Stuff has become too complicated.
Some people are forced to pay an accountant.
If we did not have to file a 1040, then I would not care.
Don't forget about the FBAR too.
7.6 million Americans are abroad.
There always is money for war, but not enough for embassies. |

Considering the US passport holders don't need many visas, how easy is it to fill 52 pages?? |

Once I needed extra pages, but not more than 30.
24 pages is not enough if you travel a lot, but often it is good enough. |
