Korea times reports story about Dokdo, yet again, but includes a map with the Sea of japan in their headline.
[Bleep] Koreans, yet again......
Such a two faced, immoral culture.
I'm sure this [Evading the swear filter] site is being modded by Korean apologists. |

I too am curious why this has been removed. It seems that strong topics about Canadians and Americans or white people are okay. I think a lot of extreme bias is going on. Might as well be posting from north of the 38th parallel. |

No problem chrisinkorea2011, I very rarely look in here, and even less so post, it's just interesting to see what the dregs of the foreign community here have to offer. |

I have to say I've seen some strange mod decisions here. Seems whenever someone is getting the upper hand over the apologists the thread is locked or the poster gets a warning. |

Your post was removed because it was a sad attempt to troll. Plus, your little unwarranted swipe at Steelrails was uncalled for.
Next time you have an issue with the moderation around here, why not send one of us message instead of posting inaccurate assumptions that, quite frankly, make you look like a sad little boy crying for attention.

It is very simple. When you sign up on Dave's, you agree to the T.O.S. i.e. Terms of Service. That entails not swearing on the page, not engaging in ad-hominem attacks (i.e. personal attacks). Ce n'est pas difficile, mes amis. It's not difficult. It also entails that you won't engage in racial insults of Japanese people, Chinese people, Koreans, engage in bigoted comments against Americans, Canadians, Muslims, act like anti-Semitism is accepted parlance on this site. And some try to deflect from the racism and prejudice they are engaging in by calling others apologists rather than taking responsibility for their behavior and following the TOS.
We are not referring to most of you. |

He's back!
Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?
And where have you been my darling young one?
I've stumbled on the side of twelve pages of Dave's
I've walked and I've crawled on six crooked Hagwon owners
I've stepped in the middle of seven busy intersections
I've been out in front of a dozen dead drunks
I've been ten thousand miles in the trains of Korea
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, and it's a hard
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall. |

You crawled on six crooked Hagwon owners and lived to tell the tale?
Sorry for your loss. I'm sure you may have been to the labo(u)r board before like I have. It was sure fun. *sarcasm* I have done the thousands of miles on trains in Korea bit and the mad rush to Incheon, too. I keep away from stepping into the middle of intersections.
Yet, of course, some folks call all us moderators "apologists" unless we agree with every word they say and ignore the TOS violations. Where have I been? Teaching university students this-and-that. I appreciate the humor. Anyway, Koharski's working hard to keep things "tidy". Some folks out there are whingeing instead of taking responsibility for following the TOS. No, you don't have to like your hogwan boss or even like the R.O.K. or kimchi. All we ask is folks out there (not referring to you whatsoever) to follow the TOS and not be bigoted. Bigotry was something good some posters could be become candidates for sainthood.
Have a great weekend. The place looks good. Most of you folks are just awesome. |

My questions were never answered.
What comments in the K-pop thread were considered personal insults?
If a poster has made racist comments, been warned about those racist comments, and then mentions the evils of racism, is it a personal attack to highlight the irony of that situation?
If a poster consistently lies in a thread is a personal insult to highlight how much lying the poster is doing?
And finally, can you see the hypocrisy of you posting about "not engaging in ad-hominem attacks" while a fellow moderator refers to a poster as "a sad little boy crying for attention" in the post above yours? |

They just deleted 5 pages...now just one page left.
Feel free to keep asking.
When it becomes obvious that your question is really a relatively valid criticism...poof...bye bye last page. |

I think the mods usually do a good job but I am not sure who they are referring to in the last mod post by Enrico Palazzo when he said there are posters who call the mods 'apologists'.
I haven't read a post that claims that about the mods. I don't think the mods are, but I do think there is too much pandering to Korean apologists who are TROLLS - yes, Optik and others - following around posters like myself who rationalise their opinions and make an effort to justify them.
Can the mods please stop worrying about listening to such trolls as they are baiting in order to get posters in trouble. A light hearted dismissal by me was given a response by Koharski that was way over the top.
I was actually really surprised by it - did you really want me to engage in a flaming war with a troll like Optik? I was dismissing his rubbish by not taking it seriously. Why not go after his kind with their passive aggressive responses to people who don't share their view of Korea and didn't involve them in the first place.
How about a bit of distinction and differentiation to be applied? I suspect the golden ticket visa trolls whine and report most of the retorts to them. But the mods have a responsibility to not get involved in that. No pandering to such trolls, thanks, Mods. |

If you ever do that again, you'll be terminated without prejudice. Consider this your final warning.

Ha ha. I've got no intention of referring to the mods again in any post apart from asking them for assistance. We've been lucky in that they have allowed posters to question them. They didn't do that before.
What I WILL do is report the golden ticket visa trolls who try to provoke others by following them around and baiting them when all the OPs have done is give a critical opinion with no racist, sexist etc content.
So to Optik and co - you'll be reported to the Mods as soon as you try your passive aggressive trolling. |
