Are potential employees on a D-10 more attractive to employers than someone who has to go through the hassle of getting their documents in order but already lives in Korea and can interview face to face? I would think so....but what if someone had all their docs sorted and was already in the country to interview face to face. If they were, then they would only need to do a visa run, right?
My current job is coming to an end soon and I want to take some time off between contracts(1-2 months) and cash out my pension. I'm a bit over 40 and like to live in Seoul, which makes the job hunt for something decent an uphill battle as is. So I want to make myself as attractive to employers as possible, but really want my pension money.
So what are the chances of securing a job that would start say 3 months from now without a d-10, but assuring the employer that the visa process will be sorted well before that start of employment? The criminal record check only takes a week or two. And I can't sort out all the diploma/embassy stuff as I am going to my home country first before heading elsewhere to travel.
Thoughts? Anything I haven't thought of? Complications?
Ideally I would like to sort out a job before I leave, but could also come back on a tourist visa and interview then.
Cheers all! |
