I am getting mixed results from reading. Do any of the private language schools or private schools also require me to pay - and they to pay - into a pension fund? I was under the impression that it was a government requirement but I have run into posts that say otherwise. |

From the US. I am applying now to get all documents apostilled and will be good to go around the middle of April. I am getting the visa required to legally work in Korea - can't remember the name of it -but it requires all of these hoops to be jumped through. |

It's always been a mixed bag, but anecdotally based on myself and folks I've known, I'd say that most do. The smaller the hagwon, the less likely they are to pay it, generally speaking. CDI, the proverbial labor-law-violating 800 pound gorilla, got smacked down for this late last year. Can't tell you what's happened since. |
