Hi There! New Poster,

I know this question has been answered many times, but there is so much conflicting information on embassy websites and forums so I just wanted to make sure.

When coming to Korea on a Tourist Visa, is it illegal to look for work? or is it just illegal to Work while on the Tourist Visa?

I know many people have done the whole 'go to Korea on a Tourist Visa, then Visa run' before working, and how important it is to have the E-2 Visa on hand before you do work, but is it technically legal to look for work?

Thanks

As a tourist you can legally look for work.

As a tourist it is illegal to actually work.
