Ok, so I'm quitting my job soon and everything is cool with my boss and I don't expect to get screwed in anyway.... so far so good.
I know I can stay for 14 days in Korea after my last day of work. What I'm thinking of doing is flying somewhere close to take a little vacation and collect my pension refund at the airport. I'm planning on coming back with only 4 or 5 days left of the 14 I'm allowed to stay in country. Then, I plan on applying for a D-10(or an extension first if need be).
Has anyone tried this? Is 4 or 5 days too little time?
I don't even understand how others have finished their contracts and made a quick trip just to collect their pension at the airport and then return to switch to a D-10 visa....don't they cancel everything once your contract is over and you've gone through immigration? Wouldn't you have to return on a tourist visa which would prevent you from switching to a D-10?
Would really love to hear from anyone who has done it, or knows something about it. It's starting to stress me out. |
