There is no shortage of articles analyzing this mega-fight - this brief one presents the views of some boxing legends ...

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/48916/20150427/mayweather-vs-pacquiao-analysis-of-boxing-legends-and-picks-of-celebrities-videos.htm

Although Pacquiao seems like a much nicer guy, I think Mayweather probably is tough and smart enough to find a way to win (not that Pacman isn't also tough and smart.) Mayweather correctly notes that it is an "intriguing matchup" that contrasts his defensive expertise and precise counterpunching with Pacquiao's exciting offensive style.

Pacquiao five years ago would have been a real threat.

I think the time that has passed when the fight between the two would have been a real 50/50 affair has been kinder to Mayweather and his style and that is why the fight is happening now. I think Mayweather will win pretty handily and on points with no real drama.

Mayweather by wide decision. But I hope Pacquiao by decapitation.

Teddy Atlas presents an interesting analysis of how Manny can win if he can take away Floyd's straight counter-right with clever feints and quick footwork ... http://www.silive.com/sports/index.ssf/2015/04/teddy_atlas_makes_his_mayweath.html

(I vaguely recall Teddy in Michael Moorer's corner when he got KO'd by George Foreman after dominating most of the fight ...)

Could it be that God answers prayers and after this fight we won't be hearing anything more about Mayweather?

After the fight, one fan tweeted what many people probably thought about the over-hyped so-called fight of the century: "Floyd Mayweather bored me out of $100"...

Of course, excuses were given for Manny, but it's pretty inexcusable that the promoters covered-up a "rotator cuff" injury that reportedly happened a few weeks ago...http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/12811381/manny-pacquiao-fought-floyd-mayweather-injured-right-shoulder-denied-anti-inflammatory-shot-locker-room

The thing is, that's almost always Mayweather's style, and no one who has followed him should be surprised- he's very hard to get to on one hand, but gets in just enough shots to win on points. Though I was hoping against hope that Pacquiao could somehow break through his defenses, the fight pretty much went as I anticipated. Snooze fest!

I haven't seen it yet - you mean it was less exciting than this old fight that also had a great build-up? ...

There probably will - and should - be repercussions for Pacquiao's camp keeping his serious rotator-cuff tear secret on an event that is legally gambled on. It's quite possible that some big betters became privy to that info - which no doubt severly hurt Pacquiao's chances of winning.

Although Manny is the kind of ring warrior who may have deluded himself into thinking that he still had a good chance of winning, I think that the injury should have been disclosed. Another great fighter, James "Buddy" Mcgirt, also gamely fought for a title (against May-like master-boxer Pernell Whitaker) with a similar shoulder injury and also lost a unanimous decision. I can't recall if it was known beforehand that McGirt would fight basically one-handed, but I do remember that the announcers noted the fact very early in that fight. http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/James_%28Buddy%29_McGirt_vs._Pernell_Whitaker_%281st_meeting%29
