Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to use the forum to ask a kinda simple question, but I've googled and come up with nothing. I hope you can help!
Do any of you know how much a taxi would cost roughly from the Incheon airport to Uijeongbu? Anywhere in Uijeongbu is fine, he can find his way around here.
My boyfriend is getting a late flight into Korea and I want to suggest to him to get a taxi but I have no idea of the cost. An estimation is fine.
Thank you so much! |

Yeah a taxi to Uijeongbu is going to be insanely expensive. If it were me, and I arrived too late to take an airport bus (which usually start at 4:30am or so, fare is 10-13,000won), I would sleep in the airport until the buses started running again. Incheon is actually not a bad airport to sleep in and I've seen lots of people do it, and have myself. |

At least get a price for a taxi. On the arrival floor, there's a taxi information kiosk along the exit side of the terminal. It's toward the east side of the terminal. Customer service will summons a cab driver over and a price can be negotiated. Just figure out what you would want to pay and negotiate from there. Last month I got a cab from ICN to Cheongju for 160,000 won. He started the fare at 200,000 won. |

How late is your friend coming?
If he can take a bus or shuttle into Seoul (the closer to the center the better), the taxi fair to Uijeongbu will be significantly cheaper (probably around 50,000W).
Also, Seoul now has late night buses and I think there are routes that travel up near Ui-dong and Nowon which are both only a stones throw away from Uijeongbu. |
