Do you think it will be much harder for an American to get an E2 visa because of the MERS virus? Have a teaching job waiting. Contract signed and all. Just waiting for my visa. |

You are not Korean so I dont see any reason why.
Then again foreigners were blamed for SARS and swine flu too. So you never know. |

No harder than it was last week.
It will take 5 days for the visa confirmation number (after the application lands on the desk at immigration).
It will take 10 minutes for the employer to sms/txt/e-mail the number to you after they decide to do so.
It will take 2-6 days for the actual visa application after you get your passport to the consulate.
It will take 2 calendar days to fly from the states to Korea (due to the date line).
