Bait car
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
A bait car is a generic term used for a vehicle that has been rigged by a law enforcement agency with the intent of capturing car thieves. Special features include bullet-proof glass; automatic door locks; video cameras that record audio, time, and date; and the ability to disable the engine remotely. The practice does not violate entrapment laws, since the suspect is not persuaded to steal the vehicle by any means other than their own motivation.
The bait car is a phenomenon in the study of criminal behavior since it offers a rare glimpse into the actions and reactions of a suspect before, during and after the crime.
Unlike other crimes caught on surveillance cameras, suspects at least initially believe and react as if the crime has been successful, until the bait car is retrieved

What's the issue here? Bait cars are commonplace and parking lots where they are in use have posted notices- or do they?
Sort of like putting up a 'beware of dog' sign when all you have are hamsters... |

Watch out for the "Bait part-time teaching positions", too. Everything is normal until the automatic doorlocks and metal window bars are activated on the hagwon. |

| Ha. I am not D. That would be Mindmetoo. Get your posters straight. I am sure he is getting a big laugh out of seeing his name posted long after it has been banned from this board. Then again, D did say he has many socks on here, so maybe you are D also? |

I've seen signs posted in parking garages by police forces in Ottawa and in Winnipeg.
And Derrek, why bother to deny? You weren't banned from here, you just forgot your password or something equally ridiculous. So you won't be banned for coming clean- you'll just look like you actually have a pair is all. |
