|
|
So after searching through all the threads, I can't find an answer to my situation. I finished a job in March, came back on a tourist visa and then got married to my Korean girlfriend. I was also in the process of getting my E2 visa at the time, and recently received it in June.
We want to apply for the F6, but wondering if the ARC is required. I'd rather just apply for the F6 before applying for the E2 ARC since I will get another card anyways.
Also I can't apply for the E2 ARC until my background check comes in which could take awhile (I got some leeway with immigration and was able to get my e2 before obtaining it).
In hindsight, it probably would've been better to just go to Japan for the visa and got it then. |

They never gave me a new card for the F6, it was just noted on the back of the E2. Later the front even showed an expired E2, while on the back the F6 was valid for years. I think I could have paid for a new card though, but I didn't. |

ARC is not required, all you need are the marriage documents along with any other applicable form they require. |
