He was renowned as an actor, folksinger, composer and political activist. Co-founder of the Newport Folk Festival, in 1963 he joined Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Peter Paul & Mary, and Joan Baez in the festival grand finale as they sang "Blowin' In the Wind" and "We Shall Overcome" ...
