Obama talk.

How so? Please elaborate. I may be in agreement with your brief statement, but I would like to be sure with what exactly.

A few years ago Obama gave a speech where he was all up on Korea's nut sack educationally. He said the US should emulate Korea's education system basing this mainly on the test scores Korean students achieve. He failed to mention the amount of time Korean kids spend studying. Also if told that Korean families often spend half their income on educating their kids it would be a non starter for American families.

It's true. They transfer their pay to their bank accounts rather than pay in cash.

Ah, right. This. Thanks for the summary reminder radcon. To be fair, Obama is not the first nor last human to be misguided by ignorance of the ROK in general, and the official educational policies and practices in particular. However, more disturbing would be the possibility that as the politically professional operator-in-chief, Obama was just as likely making statements with fully complicit awareness of reality, thereby simultaneously flattering both the local ROK hosts as a foreign head of state and the distant US corporate interests actively trying to reform education as head of the executive branch of federal government. As such, I must agree with wooden nickels and candy bar.
