If I volunteer somewhere in Korea, I heard that for it to be officially recognized I need to be registered in a website www.vms.or.kr
The Korean name for the website is 사회복지 자원봉사인증관리
What are the pros/cons of registering in this?
Am I supposed to register in this only after I start volunteering?
Or is it that I register here and look for a place to volunteer?
If I register on the site and do not manage to volunteer anywhere does it count against me?
(I noticed the site needs an alien registration number so it seems it is not possible to make an anonymous account)
I would like to know everything I can about this before I register but English information about this is surprisingly hard to find

Could anyone guide me to where I can find information on this please?
