I'm a Korean-American looking to teach English at a hagwon in October.
I have my F4 visa and an apostilled diploma, but my apostilled CBC is from last year. Will I need to apply for a more current CBC?
Also, do F4 visa holders need to get a health check before going to Korea? Or will your employer pay for the health screening once arriving to Korea?
Lastly - anyone here have experience finding a job AFTER arriving in Korea? Do you recommend that or should I try to land a job beforehand? |

F4 and cash in hand, fly to Korea and look.
F4 and no cash, start looking now and hope to get a flight over.
Even with an F4 you still need the current CBC with apostille (for the MOE). It is not an immigration issue if you have an F4. It is an MOE issue.
The medical is performed AFTER your arrival at a government hospital. YOU will pay for it. They are not that expensive.
Most hagwons do NOT have or subscribe to NHIC medical insurance in spite of what your contract says. IF you are worried about it, get private insurance.

It depends on your employer as to who will pay for your medical. My contract stated that I had to pay for it and my ARC, but the owner of my hagwon paid for both. |
